Marian, born beautiful solely to be sold at a high price, is handed over for the price of a single village. After being passed from owner to owner, he eventually finds himself in the clutches of a mad king. Three beautiful and poignant tales, each a variation on the theme of salvation. *“If only our end would come soon.” “Farewell, my love.” “Beneath the light of the cross, we close our eyes, blinded by its brilliance.” “If I were truly God, I would forgive you. I would forgive you… and love you.”*
