Tengoku (ABE Shinichi)

These seven stories take place in the mining basin of Chikuhô, a region of the island of Kyûshû (the author's native country). The misery of the mine is universal and there is no doubt that the Lorraine, English or Silesian mines also know these characters dreaming of the sun and ending up being satisfied with the heat of the moon.
