Tadano Bonji: Jinsei Benkyou

A manga depicting the life of Bonji, the son of Nonki Tousan, after he graduates from college. During the early Showa period when the series was serialized, the Showa Depression made it difficult even for highly educated people to find employment. The phrase “I graduated from college, but…” became a popular catchphrase, and a film of the same name was even produced. Against this backdrop, “a pure, straightforward, and lovable young man,” “timid and shy” struggles through job hunting and life as a salaryman. (Source: Wikipedia, translated)
